Jozini – His Worship the Mayor, Cllr Nkosinathi Myeni, has officially launched a comprehensive wards visit programme across all 23 wards of the Jozini Local Municipality. The initiative is part of the municipality’s commitment to responsive and people-centred governance, aimed at engaging directly with communities to assess service delivery progress and challenges on the ground.
The ward visits, which commenced on 1st of August 2025, will provide a platform for residents to raise their concerns, share suggestions, and receive up-to-date information on municipal programmes and planned developments. The Mayor will be accompanied by Members of the Executive Committee, senior municipal officials, and sector departments to ensure that issues raised receive immediate attention where possible.
“We are bringing government to the people,” said Mayor Myeni. “Our communities deserve to be heard, and we want to work with them to create solutions that improve service delivery and restore dignity.”
The programme will cover all wards throughout the month of August , with community meetings, oversight site visits, and stakeholder engagements forming part of the itinerary.
The Jozini Local Municipality encourages all stakeholders, including traditional leaders, ward committees, community-based organisations, and residents, to attend these sessions and make their voices heard.
