THE SECOND QUARTERLY JOZINI LOCAL MUNICIPALITY IPD REPRESENTATIVE FORUM.

 TUESDAY- 21 November 2023, The Jozini Local Municipality IDP Representative Forum, convened a second quarterly meeting at eMachibini Community Hall, emerged as a pivotal moment in community involvement.
 Her Worship the Deputy Mayor, representing His Worship Mayor Mfananaye Mathe of Jozini Local Municipality, inaugurated the event. Municipal Manager JA Mngomezulu expressed gratitude to dedicated Executive Directors and recognized stakeholders, including ESKOM, for their continuous efforts in ensuring electricity availability in Jozini.
 The Forum featured prominent participants such as Umhlosinga, COGTA, Department of Public Works, EDTEA, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife and ESKOM. Notably, the COGTA representative conveyed optimism about the 2023/2024 Jozini Local Municipality IDP, awaiting confirmation scores from the MEC for COGTA in KZN.
 Councilors took the opportunity for direct engagement, particularly with ESKOM and the Department of Public Works.
 Inkosi yesizwe sakwaMathenjwa delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the significance of respecting traditional leadership. He urged sector departments to recognize and involve traditional leaders in community programs while applauding the good relationship they have as traditional leadership with Jozini Local Municipality. The Forum showcased a collaborative endeavor towards effective governance and community development.
 The next 3rd Quarterly Meeting of this important multi-stakeholder’s forum is scheduled to take place on the 21st of February 2024.
