RE: JOZINI LOCAL MUNICIPALITY RE-OPENS ITS MAIN OFFICES

Jozini Municipality will re-open its offices on Wednesday, the 15th of July 2020, at 08H00 AM, under stringent conditions after Covid-19 positive cases were detected on some employees.

The building has been thoroughly deep cleansed.

After 20 more positive cases confirmed today, Monday the 13th of July 2020, the municipality will be disinfecting those offices too.

All possible contacts are being identified.

Though offices will re-open, the municipality encourages those who can enquire online and telephonically, to do so. The community is urged to bear with the municipality until the Covid-19 virus is flattened and the situation is normal again.

RE: JOZINI MUNICIPALITY EMPLOYEES CONFIRMED COVID-19 POSITIVE

Jozini Local Municipality main offices have been closed with immediate effect until further notice for disinfection following the identification of two COVID-19 positive cases. 

Affected employees will be working from their respective homes to ensure that service delivery is not affected.

Members of the public are also requested not to come to the Jozini main offices to avoid the possible spread of the virus.

The municipality will continue remotely with all essential services such as refuse removal, disaster management services, and many other critical services of the municipality will continue operating as normal.

Jozini management, the COVID-19 Local Command Task Team, and the Department of Health are working to trace all the contacts that might have met with the infected employees as well as to disinfect the whole building as soon as possible.

The Department of Health will also be assisting the municipality in testing all the contacts that were immediately identified. Testing has also been arranged for all affected staff and Councillors on Wednesday, the 8th of July, at the Municipal Offices, at 9:00am.

Members of the public are urged to pay attention to our Social Media Pages and other traditional media with regards to updates until the office is fully operational again.
